GUYANA FOLK FESTIVAL
SYMPOSIUM BREAKFAST STARTS SEASON TO COINCIDE
WITH COUNTRY’S 40TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

The Guyana Cultural Association – Folk Festival – is proud to announce that its sixth annual festivities will start with the celebration of the country’s 40th Anniversary of Independence during a fundraising Symposium Breakfast, to be held at the Grace United Methodist Church.

The theme for this year is Carifesta Revisted. This will be highlighted at the March 25, event to be hosted at the Church’s 33 7th Avenue and St. John’s Place, Brooklyn location from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Adding a traditional twist to the morning’s gala, the Symposium Breakfast will include a silent auction, door prizes, and sale of books.

A donation of $25.00, for adults and $10.00 for kids up to 15 years old, will be accepted at the door.

Directions to Meyer Levin School

The school is located On Ralph Avenue between Tilden and Beverly.

BUS ROUTES:

Coming from the Bronx, New York City -
Take the #4 train to Utica Avenue Stop.. and then B46 Bus to Beverly Road.

There is also the B-47 and B-17 that goes to that area.

From Long Island and Queens -
Take the Belt Parkway to Linden Blvd. At Rockaway Parkway, Make a left and then the first right onto Ditmus. Drive to Ralph and make a right. The School is at the first corner (Beverly)
